Mumbai based MyMuse, a direct-to-consumer (D2C)  bedroom essentials and sexual wellness startup, has raised Rs 9.5 crore ($1.2 million) in a seed funding round led by Saama Capital and joined by Sauce VC, and Whiteboard Capital. Notable angel investors including Mohit and Malika Sadaani (The Mom’s Co.), and Varun Sadana (Supertails, Licious) have also joined the cap table over the two funding rounds.
The copany intends to utilised these funds to increase team size, roll out a variety of cutting-edge goods, solidify brand positioning, and broaden distribution.
The brand aims to bring a change for the bedroom experience for all people with their mission to make intimacy easy, approachable, and fun for the modern Indian.
Manu Chandra, Managing Partner at Sauce VC, said, “Anushka and Sahil have built a talented team choosing to keep a lot of the key brand-related functions inhouse to deliver high-quality and unique engagement. Their innovative methods, hands-on approach, and desire to mentor have attracted top talent and brought the best out of their people.”
According to Anushka Gupta, Co-Founder of MyMuse, “As Indians, we’ve grown up in environments where the topic of intimacy has been swept under the rug, and products for the bedroom are hidden in brown-paper bags. We wanted to focus on beautiful, unintimidating products that can become a seamless addition to one’s daily life.
