DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2022: The Centre For Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) has invited Applications Online from the Candidates meeting the Eligibility Criteria specific to the Posts of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A (Tech-A) under the Defence Research & Development Organisation Technical Cadre (DRTC) Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
Such Intending Candidates, who are deemed to have duly fulfilled the Essential Post related Eligibility conditions and may proceed with applying Online. Online Submission of Applications (OSA) by the Applicant Candidates shall terminate on 23rd September 2022 (23.09.2022) deemed to be the Last Date for receipt of Online Applications by The Centre For Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM), Defence Research and Development Organisation. There are 1901 Vacancies in aggregate for the Recruitment Posts of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A (Tech-A) under Defence Research & Development Organisation Technical Cadre (DRTC)
Candidates applying for more than one Post Code should submit separately their respective Applications complete in all respects. Such Candidates having applied for more than one Post Code Must Take Note that the Examination Centers for each Post-specific Examination are likely to be different and that the Examinations may be conducted on the Same Day/in the Same Shift. In the event of the Computer-Based Examinations being held in two different shifts on the same day, then it will be the Candidate’s responsibility to reach the allocated Centre. If the Computer-Based Test for Two Post Codes applied by the Applicant Candidate happens to be in the same shift so He or She will be able to appear in the Examination of only 01 (One) Post Code as per their individual Choice.
The Centre For Personnel Talent Management shall conduct the Tier-I and Tier-II Tests and Trade Tests at various Examination Centers. The Candidates appearing in the Computer Based Tests to be followed by other Test would be issued Electronic Admit Cards with the Details (including Date and Shifts and Instruction) related to the CEPTAM 10 Recruitment 2022.
The Selection Methodology in the case of the Post specific Test may vary depending upon the Organizational Requirement/Government of India policy for both Senior Technical Assistant (STA)-B & Technical-A Posts. The Selection Methodology consists of 02 Stages; i.e., Tier-I and Tier-II.
I) As regards the Senior Technical Assistant (STA)-B Posts, The Selection Process will consist of Tier–I (Written Screening Test) and Tier-II (Final Selection) as described in the CEPTAM 10 Advertisement. 1) The Centre For Personnel Talent Management shall conduct an Online Computer-Based Test A) Tier-I and 2) The Centre For Personnel Talent Management shall normalise the Candidates obtained Tier-I (CBT) Marks as per requirement. 3) The Tier-I and Tier-II will comprise the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions only. 4) The Computer-Based Tier-I Examination is aimed at screening and Tier-II is directed for Final Selection.
II) As to The Technical-A Posts, The Selection process will consist of Tier–I (Computer-Based Test) and Tier-II (Trade Test) as described in the CEPTAM 10 Advertisement. 1) The Centre For Personnel Talent Management shall conduct an Tier-I Online Computer-Based Test and normalize the Tier-I Marks obtained by the Candidates as per the requirement. 2) The Tier-I (Computer-Based Test) will contain Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions only. 3) The Computer-Based Tier-I Examination is for the purpose of Provisional Selection of the Candidates. Tier-II (Trade Test) is qualifying in nature. 4) The Centre For Personnel Talent Management shall hold the Trade Test of ITI Level in the related Trade. The aim of conducting the Trade Test is to testing the Practical Skills of the Candidates. The Trade Test under Technical-A Posts may vary from 01 (One) to 02 (Two) Hours’ Duration.
Mode of Application:
The Personnel rendering the Services in the Government Sector or Government Public Sector Undertakings (GPSU) and the Departmental Candidates should apply through the “Proper Channel” only as mentioned in the DRDO Recruitment 2022.
Examination Duration: 1½ Hour (90 Minutes) for each Tier; Tier-I comprising 05 Parts with 120 Objective-Type MCQs for 120 Marks and Tier-II containing 100 Objective-Type MCQs for 100 Marks with No Negative Marking
Tier-I (CBT for Screening*) Test Common to All Post-Codes
I) Quantitative Ability/Aptitude, II) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, III) General Awareness, IV) English Language (Basic Knowledge), V) General science: 120 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for Maximum 120 Marks
Tier-II (CBT for Provisional Selection**) Post-Code specific Test: 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for Maximum 100 Marks
Examination Duration: 1½ Hour (90 Minutes) for Tier-I (Provisional Selection#) comprising 04 Parts with 40 Objective-Type MCQs for 40 Marks and Tier-II Trade Test containing 80 Objective-Type MCQs for 80 Marks, Aggregating 120 Marks with No Negative Marking
Tier-I (Provisional Selection#) Test Common to All Trade Post-Codes
Tier-I (Section A) comprising 04 Parts I) Quantitative Ability/Aptitude, II) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, III) General Awareness, IV) English Language (Basic Knowledge) with 40 Objective-Type MCQs for 40 Marks and Tier-II Trade Test containing 80 Objective-Type MCQs for 80 Marks, Total 120 Marks
Tier-II Trade Test (Qualifying in nature ##) The ITI Trade Level (Specific to) Test/Discipline in the related Test for testing the Practical Skills of the Candidates. This Trade Test varies from 01 – 02 Hours.

Age Limits: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 28 Years.  Relaxation in Upper Age Limits for Reserved Communities.
Essential Qualifications: The Candidates should have in possession Bachelor’s Degree in Science Or Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Computer Science or Allied Subjects in the required Discipline, duly recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs.19900 to Rs.63200 112400) as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Plus all other Perquisites Admissible as per the Extant Government of India (GoI) Rules.
Age Limits: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 28 Years.  Relaxation in Upper Age Limits for Reserved Communities.
Essential Qualifications: i) The Candidate should be HSC/Matriculate (Xth Class Passed) or Equivalent thereto from any duly recognized Board or Institute; and
ii) Certificate in the required Trade Apprentice Discipline from any duly recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI); Or Minimum 01 Year’s Duration Certificate in the required Trade Discipline awarded by any duly recognized Institution. If the Industrial Training Institutes do not award a Certificate in that Discipline Or the National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the required Trade Discipline; Or the National Apprenticeship Certificate in the required Trade Discipline.
Application Fee and Payment Mode:
i) General Candidates: Rs. 100.00 Plus Bank Charges
ii) Economically Weaker Section / Other Backward Class (NCL): Rs. 100.00 Plus Bank Charges
iii) SCs/STs/Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and Ex-Service-Men Candidates are Exempt from Payment of the Application Fee.
Mode of Payment: The application Fee should be paid Online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
Note 1: The B.Sc. Degree holder Candidates must have studied the Required Subject for a Minimum of 02 Years in the B.Sc. Course Program.
Note 2: The Centre For Personnel Talent Management shall NOT consider the candidates having Higher qualifications, viz., Magister de Science/Master of Science (M.Sc.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engg.) or Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.) Degree etc., as on Crucial Date of Eligibility for the Recruitment Process, implying such Candidates are Ineligible for applying.
