The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) in Jordan is looking to recruit a Policy Advisor on Water.
Jordan is the second most water scarce country in the world. Addressing water scarcity in Jordan is a high priority in the Netherlands’ multi-annual cooperation strategy in Jordan. The Netherlands supports Jordan in ensuring sufficient water remains available to sustain its population, including refugees and vulnerable host communities. The Netherlands aims to contribute to sustainable supply, efficient use and management of water. Climate change has a profound negative impact on water availability in Jordan; the Netherlands therefore also works on the water-energy-food nexus to support climate change mitigation as well as adaptation. The policy advisor water will play a key role in advancing and coordinating the Netherlands’ water agenda.
